Suzuki GS1000 Resto-Mod Custom Built Muscle Bike

Anthony contacted us with a challenge:  Would BBR be willing to take his old-school 1978 GS1000 and give her a modern front/rear suspension while maintaining some of her traditional/iconic lines?  We were only happy to take on his challenge - especially after we met him in person, discussed the project in detail and found out that he already had a 2005 Suzuki GSXR600 donor bike!  He delivered the two bikes to us ... it was on!

As one can imagine, a project like this poses many design challenges and mechanical obstacles; however, it was a fun build and we sincerely believe it turned out beautifully.  Anthony agreed at the unveil - he absolutely loves how she turned out.  The final build was far better than he had ever expected!  It is a true muscle bike with a low and stocky stance ... not quite as muscular as her owner but a pretty darned close match!  Thank you Anthony for taking that leap of faith with us and for giving us the chance to build a very cool bike for you!  Just be prepared to answer lots of questions as the bike enthusiasts that cross your path will be very curious about your custom bike!  

Once again, we do hope that folks take a moment and look through the before/during/after photos to help get a better understanding of the amount of blood, sweat and love dedicated to this GS1000 Muscle Bike.  She runs beautifully with fully rebuilt/re-jetted carbs, Dyna Ignition/Coils and a ton of new parts throughout!  For those of you like us that grew-up with these large 4 cylinder carbureted ​bikes, we believe it is tough to beat the sound of these motors when breathing through a nice pipe and fully dialed in!
