1994 Ducati 900 SuperSport SP Custom (No. 646)
Ducati 900 Super Sport SP
Vintage Styled GP Racer Build We found this bike just outside of Orlando, FL back in 2011 after she had been stored in the back of a garage for several years – she spent a few more years in the back of our shop patiently waiting her turn on the operating table. As one can gather from the before photos, she was in need of some hard core TLC. Prior to doing anything with her, we first successfully fired-up the engine – the motor ran great, sounded smooth and was tight. Based on the markings on the underside of the cam belt covers, the belts were replaced at 18K miles. So we got busy with the restoration/build. We decided on a vintage GP Racer theme with the old-school race fairing reminiscent of the road race bikes from the 60’s & 70’s. After extensive research on this bike, we went with a Factory-Pro carb kit and with the help of the Factory Pro Team, got her jetted and dialed in nicely to balance the upgraded exhaust and newly installed pod filters. We really love how she turned out – traditional colors with an old-school race theme.

We hope folks take a moment and look through the before/during/after photos to help get a true appreciation of the amount of work that it took to get this 900SS SP to where she is today. The bike has an incredible rumble that only these air-cooled 90 degree V-Twins Ducati’s can produce – she is definitely a lot of bike and absolutely not for the beginner riders. Grab a handful of her throttle and one will know exactly what we are talking about when we say she is NOT a beginner’s bike – she’s a bit of a beast!
