AMF Harley-Davidson Cafe Racer / Street Tracker (SOLD)

The Ironhead turned out awesome!

Jim & I picked-up this bike (1981 AMF Harley-Davidson Sportster) from a former colleague of Jim's ... he (Allan) got the bike from his father who was the original owner (with only 7000 original miles).  She has been transformed in to a pretty bad-ass cafe/dirt tracker style ride - she is definitely not like most other Harley's out there - when the owner of this bike rocks-up to the local coffee shop, most folks will be scratching their heads because they will not have seen a bike like this ... other than at maybe an old school cafe racer bike shows/gatherings or in a cafe racer magazine!  Let us know your thoughts on this one folks!!!  We installed a new clutch/springs ... the old clutch was not worn; however, half of it was sitting in the primary drive oil for over 20 years ... which cause some minor chatter. The new clutch/spring works flawlessly now!  We have a sneaking suspicion this bike is now in Japan but, we cannot confirm this ...
