Current Build:  1975 Honda CB200T Cafe Racer
( almost ready to hit ebay ... take a look and let us know your thoughts )

Voila ... a New Cafe Racer Lives!!!

Picture
She was a very nice example of a stock old-school Honda CB200T !  We picked her up locally several months ago and have successfully transformed her in to a traditional custom cafe racer!  She turned out fantastic ... just some final jetting changes to get her 100% dialed in and then she will be placed on ebay for the world to bid on her!!!  ... sometime around mid/late June 2012!

By the way, she sounds incredible for her relatively small size ... check out the YouTube Video to the left ... crank-up the sound on your computer!!!

1982 Yamaha XJ750 Maxim transformed in to "The Bulldog Brat"
(Customer Bike: Completed/Delivered)

The Bulldog Brat Build

Picture
As many of you have read previously read on our website, with a tight budget and some specific design/form elements our customer was looking for, we have successfully transformed his recently purchased bike in to a much tougher lookin' ride - she looks like a bad-ass bulldog when she goes down the road ... a truly sick ride (see more info/history on the "New News"  Tab).

2001 Yamaha XV250 Virago Old School/Vintage Military Build
(Customer Bike: Completed/Delivered)

Another Mission Accomplished

Picture
After his girl-friend bought her first bike (the BBR Yamaha XS400 Cafe Racer) and meeting us, Charles knew we were the chosen ones to transform his recently purchased XV250 in to something he could connect with ... EXPECTATIONS EXCEEDED ( ... again!!! )!  Which is awesome as he now wants BBR to transform his Ducati Monster - another awesome project for us ... build details soon to follow ... Thank you for your faith is us, Charles - we definitely appreciate it Brother!

1974 Honda CB550 Cafe Racer (Customer Bike: Completed/Delivered)

Good things come to those who wait!

Daniel had a clear vision of the things he likes on Cafe Racers - with his input as the foundation on this build, we got busy with the transformation ... here are a few photos of the process, feel free to give us your feedback via the website or facebook!

Custom Cafe Racer Build

Picture
The unveil was a huge success - Daniel just loves his new ride (along with all of the attention she brings)!   Thank you again for having faith in us Brother!  Make sure you have some BBR business cards with you when you get her fired-up and blast down the road on your one-off, two-seater, vintage Cafe Racer!!!

1982 Suzuki GS650L Old School Bobber
(Completed/SOLD)

Transformed in to a Hard-Tail Custom Bobber

Picture
She started out as a very plain & stock Japanese cruiser ... after the choppin' started, progress came quickly!  The Jet Kit is now in and she is ready to rock-n-roll.  She took a trophy for "Best Custom Bike of Show" at the local VK Round-Up in Cocoa Village (as voted by the spectators)!  She will make a very cool ride for her next owner!  We will be placing her on Craigslist and Ebay shortly ... despite the fact that several people have approached us to buy her now (ebay is a great way for us to get additional exposure ... global exposure as we have been contacted by folks around the world!).  We set-up our bobbers to be easy and fun bikes to ride - they are just a blast!!!

1981 Honda CM400T Custom Bobber (Customer Bike/Complete)

Bobbed-Out / Day 1 Trophy Win!

Picture
We met Lisa at a local car & bike show (VK Round-Up) - she was riding her stock CM400T ... one conversation lead to another and a few weeks later ... voila!!!  She is now the proud owner of a BBR one-off custom ride ... she picked-up the bike on a Sunday, that same day her bike took the trophy for "Best Custom Bike of Show" at the March VK Round-Up ... CONGRATS Lisa!!!

By the way, we want to give a shout out to our friends, Chris Gallo for his pin striping artistry and Sharon Martin of Ocean Fabrics for her custom seat uhpolstery!!!  Please contact us if you would like these guys to do work on your ride!

1990 Suzuki VX800 Custom Build (Customer's Bike/Completed)

Now that Brett has picked-up his new ride, he has kindly granted us permission to publish the photos of her ... hope you like her as much as he does!!!

Cafe Racer/Street Fighter/Flat Tracker

Picture
After Brett accidentally high-sided his beloved Suzuki VX800, his journey to find a shop that could fix her took him to the door steps of BBR!  We thanked him for taking that leap of faith and leaving his ride in our hands.  Armed with some foundational ideas, wants, & needs laid out by Brett ... Jim and Joe allowed his ride to continue on her journey ... and the path through BBR  transformed her in to something completely different!!!  He wanted her to reflect a Japanese fighter plane theme (based on the concept wanting a street "fighter" style while maintaining her Japanese heritage ... thus, the Japanese Fighter plane theme was born).  Brett was blown away when he came to pick her up ... and we cannot be happier when our work puts a huge shit eatin' grin on our customer's faces!!!Unfortunately, the video does not reflect her true sound ... she has a deep rumble - and when you crack open the throttle, she really
comes to life!

1975 Honda CB125s Custom Café Racer (Completed/SOLD)

She sold on ebay in January 2012 !!!

Picture
We recently picked-up this ride in Central Florida from some truly nice folks.  They are happy that she has gone to a good home - yes, they know what we plan on doing with her which is exactly what the previous owners wanted to do but just did not have the time.  Will let you guys know when she hits ebay - probably in late Jan. 2012!  Her name is CheriBella (... get it, "CB" ... thank you for naming her Jim, the bike transporter dude) and she will definitely make the new owner proud to own a BBR Custom Cafe Racer!

1982 Yamaha XS400 Custom Café Racer
(Customer's Bike)

She is Complete and ...

Picture
Adam wanted his Cafe Racer to be very plane with no flash - just a cool & one-off custom ride!
... we can now show you the final product as the Owner just picked her up (we did not want to mess up the unveil for him by posting completed photos prior to ...).  He was shocked at the final version of his ride as he did not see the bike after he dropped her off ... expectations far exceeded and so, mission accomplished for another successful BBR build ... thank you for your confidence and faith is us, Adam!  We are truly grateful and and appreciate your business - plus we loved hookin' up your Cafe Racer!  California, here she comes!!!

1988 Yamaha VMax Stealth / Black-Ops Ride (Customer's Bike)

Mission Accomplished !!!

Picture
Click on photo for YouTube Walk-Around
As noted on the New News tab, the owner of this machine wanted us to transform the bike in to something  more low-keyed with very little chrome or polished aluminum.  The new ride was recently handed over to our client - we kept the project within the tight budget he had requested.  The transformation is complete and he is freakin' overwhelmed at the final product!  The Yamaha VMax is truly a beast of a machine - and now, this one looks the part!  Listen to her on the YouTube video ... holy crap!!!  Sadly, the photos and the YouTube video really do not do this bike justice - it needs to be seen and heard in person in order to experience the full impact.  Everytime he stops, the bike attracts a crowd of curious folks/admirers  - so, he has kindly returned to our shop to grab a bunch of BBR business cards to help promote our shop!

AMF Harley-Davidson Cafe Racer / Street Tracker
(SOLD)

She is complete & currently on ebay!!!

Picture
Jim & I picked-up this bike (1981 AMF Harley-Davidson Sportster) from a former colleague of Jim's ... he (Allan) got the bike from his father who was the original owner (with only 7000 original miles).  The photos to the right reflect the current work in progress - we hope to turn her in to a pretty bad-ass cafe/dirt tracker style ride - she will not be like most other Harley's out there - when the owner of this bike rocks-up to the local coffee shop, most folks will be scratching their heads because they will not have seen a bike like this ... other than at maybe an old school cafe racer bike shows/gatherings or in a cafe racer magazine!  Let us know your thoughts on this one folks!!!  We recently installed a new clutch/springs ... the old clutch was not worn; however, half of it was sitting in the primary drive oil for over 20 years ... which cause some minor chatter. Th new clutch/spring works flawlessly now!

1981 Yamaha XJ650 Rat/Bobber (old school & SOLD)

The Cutting is Complete! (SOLD on ebay!!!)

Picture
We picked her up from the original owners here on the Space Coast of Florida - only 15K original miles but, she sat for many years.  After a carburetor rebuild (and they were very nasty - worst we have seen yet!!!), she fired right up and runs beautifully.  As you can she, our final vision for this ride is quite different than her stock appearance ... very different indeed!   We really dig the final look - man, the photos really don't do her any justice ... we wish you could all see her in person!!!

1979 Honda CB750 Café Racer (SOLD)

A Diamond in the Rough ...

Picture
This 1979 Honda CB750 came across our path at an insurance auction in Florida - the previous owner had been hit on the left side of the bike; however, damage was only on the tank and handlebars (and we are hoping the rider was OK based on the minimal damage on the bike) ... the motor, frame, forks and wheels were fine ... we wanted to uncover the true potential of this classic 70's era ride ... and by the way, she already took a trophy for Best Bike in Show ... check out the NEW NEWS Tab for more information!!!  She recently sold on ebay (Dec. 2012)- the new owner claims to not get excited over most things but this ride put a huge smile on his face!!!

BBR Shop Bike - Honda CB750K SOHC Powered Bobber

The BBR Shop Bike (not for sale)

Picture
We picked-up this bike recently at an insurance auction (see photos with front end damage).  With some TLC and and some elbow greese (and a new front end), we got her back on the road again in a few days - now she sports the old school BBR touch ... pretty bad-ass ride for sure.  It is now on display at our friend's shop (VINTAGE KULTURE) in Cocoa Village located in Cocoa, Florida.  Check out the New News tab for more info. on the VINTAGE KULTURE shop along with more photos !!!

1990 Suzuki VX800 Café /Street Fighter (SOLD)

1990 Suzuki VX800 Cafe Racer / Street Fighter

Picture
We picked-up this ride from a neighbor - found it on Craigslist and realized the dude lived two streets down from us ... struck the deal and pushed it home. This is a typical bike story - the previous owner upgraded to a larger ride and let this one sit for several years and finally decided to get ride of it ... cheap!  After we cleaned the carbs and got her running, we started on it - see pics to the left.  The original concept was a street fighters; however, it has developed in to a Cafe-Fighter - you guys be the judge.  She turned out to be a pretty cool bike with some aggressive characteristics and personality!

1981 Yamaha XS400 Caf
é Racer (SOLD)

1981 Yamaha XS400 Special / Custom Café Racer
When we went to pick-up a second lift for the shop, we saw this bike sitting in the corner of the guy's garage - so, we offered a package deal for the bike and the lift and ... voila, our first build was back in the shop and on the new lift!  ALL work was done in house at BBR - here are just a few of the highlights:
  • custom fabricated in-house steel tail-piece w/Suzuki VX800 taillight and mini-trun signals
  • adapted rear-sets from a Yamaha FZR600
  • Honda Rebel front fender (Jacks Cycle Salvage)
  • reshaped exhaust system wrapped with heat wrap
  • redesigned/relocated rear shock geometry
  • custom fabricated side covers
  • heavy duty gold chain/sprokets (2 teeth larger in rear and 1 smaller in front for more low end torque)
  • custom emerald green metallic paint scheme w/white rally stripes on tail-piece, tank and fender
  • rebuilt brake caliper with new pads/shoes
  • new pod filters / rebuilt carburetors with matching 6-Sigma jet-kit sized for new filters and 2 in to 1 baffled exhaust system
